Embodied Mindfulness: An Eight-Week Exploration is a transformative journey designed to deepen your connection with your body through the practice of mindfulness. Over eight weeks, you will learn to cultivate awareness, presence, and compassion by exploring the intricate relationship between your mind and body. This course is suitable for both beginners and those with prior mindfulness experience who seek to enhance their practice.

You will learn:

  • Fundamental principles of mindfulness and their application to body awareness.

  • Techniques to observe and understand bodily sensations, movements, and posture.

  • Strategies for integrating mindfulness into daily life to reduce stress and promote well-being.

  • Methods for managing physical discomfort and enhancing overall body awareness.

This course is ideal for anyone looking to deepen their mindfulness practice, reduce stress, and enhance their connection with their body. No prior experience is necessary, making it accessible for beginners as well as those with a background in mindfulness.

The course will be deeply rooted in my fourteen years of sitting with my own teacher – a Tibetan Buddhist Lama – in his home several days a week. With his encouragement, I am now offering the same to our community.

Duration: 8 weeks

Frequency: Weekly, every Thursday, 9 - 10:30 AM

Class Format: Inperson - with virtual option

Prerequisites: None, suitable for all levels of experience.

Materials Needed: Comfortable clothing, cushion, journal for reflection.
